Hereford Battles Canyon in 3-1 District Loss, Moves to 4-4 in District Play

The Hereford Lady Whitefaces battled hard against district rival Canyon but came up short in a 3-1 loss, moving Hereford to 4-4 in district play and putting the Lady Whitefaces in fourth place in the district standings.

Even with the loss, Hereford had several athletes deliver standout performances and show the fight this team continues to bring every time it steps on the court.

🔥 Layla Mendoza led the offensive attack with a huge performance, finishing the match with 15 kills. Mendoza continued to show her ability to be a major weapon at the net and produce when Hereford needed points.

🛡️ Kyndall Valdez was outstanding defensively, recording an impressive 30 digs. Valdez's ability to read the attack, cover the floor, and keep plays alive gave Hereford opportunities to stay in long rallies throughout the match.

Lily Madrigal, Jolie Lopez, Kadynce Ramirez, and Teagan Thomas also turned in standout performances for the Lady Whitefaces. Each played an important role as Hereford continued to battle against a tough Canyon squad.

While the final result wasn't what Hereford wanted, the Lady Whitefaces remain right in the middle of the district race. At 4-4, every match becomes even more important as Hereford looks to climb the standings and put itself in position for postseason play.
