Lady Whitefaces' Four-Game Winning Streak Ends Against Randall
HEREFORD, TX — After an impressive four-game winning streak, the Hereford Lady Whitefaces faced a tough challenge Tuesday night as they took on the Randall Lady Raiders. Despite their recent momentum and determination, Hereford struggled to find its rhythm, falling in straight sets, 3-0.
Randall controlled much of the match, taking the victory with set scores of 25-14, 25-7, and 25-17. Although the Lady Whitefaces battled throughout the night, Randall's offensive pressure and strong defense made it difficult for Hereford to establish consistency.
Lady Whitefaces Continue to Battle
Despite the loss, several Lady Whitefaces contributed on both sides of the court.
Karizma Rivera helped lead Hereford's offense, finishing with 4 kills. Fellow offensive standout Layla Mendoza added 4 kills of her own while making her presence felt at the net with a team-high 2 blocks.
Lilly Madrigal continued to show her versatility and leadership on the court, recording 8 assists and 12 digs. Her ability to contribute offensively while stepping up defensively was an important part of Hereford's effort.
Defensive standout Kyndall Valdez also worked hard in the back row, finishing with 8 digs as she helped keep rallies alive against Randall's aggressive attack.
