The Hereford Lady Whitefaces kept the momentum rolling Thursday, picking up a 2-0 tournament victory over the Pleasant Grove Hawks and earning their second straight win.

Hereford got strong performances from Kyndall Valdez and Illiana Madrigal. Valdez anchored the defense with 14 digs while adding two assists, while Madrigal delivered an all-around performance with five kills and five digs.

The Lady Whitefaces stayed in control and found a way to finish the job in two sets, continuing to build momentum during tournament play.

With the victory, Hereford improves to 5-6 on the season and has now won back-to-back matches.

The Hereford Lady Whitefaces are finding their rhythm.

Hereford continued tournament play Thursday with another strong performance, defeating the Central Heights Blue Devils 2-0. The victory moves the Lady Whitefaces to 6-7 overall and an impressive 5-2 since snapping a five-match losing streak.

Layla Mendoza led the Hereford attack with six kills, while Illiana Madrigal helped keep the offense moving with seven assists.
