Lady Whitefaces Battle Canyon in District Opener

The Hereford Lady Whitefaces fought hard in their first district match of the season but fell to Canyon, 3–1, on the road. The set scores were 25–18, 25–19, 21–25, and 25–20.

Karizma Rivera led Hereford’s offense with 13 kills, while Layla Mendoza followed closely with 12 kills. Lilly Madrigal helped run the offense with 21 assists and two service aces, while Mia Estada added 14 assists.

Defensively, senior libero Kyndall Valdez recorded 16 digs and two aces while celebrating an incredible career milestone—1,000 digs! Kadynce Ramirez also contributed 12 digs and two aces.

Although the Lady Whitefaces did not get the district-opening win, they continued to show determination and teamwork against a strong Canyon team. Congratulations to Kyndall Valdez on reaching 1,000 career digs—an outstanding accomplishment!
